I agree, but the gallery for this software is not all that simple to use, prob why it was harldy used. I am looking into whether there are any plugins to make it easier.

Kewl thanks for the response Collie. I hope more people will utilize it because it's a far easier way for all Moonies to reminisce the campouts. I sure would utilize it to show pics of others and alls' kewl buses

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

Hi, I have an '82 diesel westie, the temp guage has no numbers, just the gauge and the idiot light in the center of the gauge. Does any one know what numbers apply, what is the temp when the needle is at 12:00? what temp does the idiot light light up at? My bus seems to run with the needle at 12:00 and climb quickly on up hills and such, is that normal? I fear it runs a little hot. Thx, SR

I dont have any diesel experience but it is a vanagon waterpumper which means you may have to bleed air from the radiator.

Can you hear the radiator fan coming on?

I might be wrong, but the light just tells you that you have low level of antifreeze, not that it is hot.

Phil is right about the warning light. BTW, if you run low on coolant the heat gauge is useless.... Without coolant running through the system the gauge is meaningless. I should know... I cooked a motor that way once.

I would believe that is why the level light is red, it means stop.

Yes, must top it up when the light comes on, but you have to wait till it cools off to service the system tank, you can add to the resevoir, but doubt it will draw enough in to fill it.
