Does anyone know if there will be another Blue Ridge Bus Tour later in the year?

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

This is one of the ongoing jokes from the North. The amount of stuff that people pack in their buses to go anywhere. Den holds the record I think, but Jamie Rivers (meester_jamie) is a close second. Here is a list that was compiled by JR many moons ago and tweaked over time.

I dug it out of the The_Bug_Pack archives and made a quick HTML file of it for your browsing pleasure.

Dont panic if you dont have ALL the stuff on the list....we will let you slide on one or two...

Seems funny till you itemize what is in your bus eh? LOL. sometimes I audit my list, once I found we had 5 frying pans !! thing was,, the all came in handy very often,, but insanity! so, I took out all the frying pans, and put in a new coleman cooker that has one built in! oh,, and I don't carry weapons of any sort.. or snake bite ... and there is a few other things not in my bus from that list.. but, I see there is no mention of a tool kit..
going back a few years.. my wife and i decided to camp,, 3 kids.. so she is laying out things X5 ... and it started to take up the kitchen, the hall, the living room, and the mud room,,, <eyes open> so,, lol, I nicely said.. hey honey.. do we need all this stuff! ? ... oh man.. I knew it was time to retreat.. I needed an item from the hardware store.... so I left , got my part at the store, and came home... as I walked past the camper.. nothing was packed... then I went in the house,, and it was CLEAN! nothing layed out... holy crow . I must have really done it now! So I was thinking she got an attitude by my "nice" comments.. and changed her mind about camping.???? lol,.,. so I found her in the back yard lounging... and asked.. hey Whats up? ,,,, long conversation she finally walked me to the camper and showed me how to pack!! all that stuff was packed away! lol I hate that! I leave everything out so i can see where I put it! hahaha...
so.. I don't take all the blame .. we do use the stuff we carry.. and ... you should see the stuff we leave behind.. lol after she raises her eyebrows at my suggestions of .. should we take the 1/6 scale bus remote control toy honey?

No it's not all, what about your clothes, food and recreational equipment like kayaks or other floating devices! Then you really can't find anything after it's all packed up and you get there.

That's the same with me... Clyde is packed all the time for normal camping ....so all i have to do is add clothes and food... I never really have to think about anything else unless i decide to haul more water or a Generator for the A/C...

Mine stays loaded all the time too. I actually have a Excel spreadsheet that I got from someone else that I've modified over the years. I don't carry everything on it all the time, but it helps me organize by sport also i.e. biking, kayaking, etc.

I think carrying an assortment of zip locks is crucial.

I actually keep several sizes of zip-locks in the bus and the truck. Good for everything from marinating food and leftovers to collecting collecting berries and samples to identify later. I carry a couple of naturalist type guides but sometimes I have to take stuff home.

Wow, that is seriously overkill. I. Bring my tools, common spare parts, camping chair, a couple of blankets, fishing pole, pillows, clothes, rope, a sharp knife, grill, lantern, food, my mandola and painting supplies (if applicable.) you are camping, not moving. No need to overload the bus!
