Does anyone know if there will be another Blue Ridge Bus Tour later in the year?

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

Sat night after the hey-you here (well technically it was still going on) about 3 in the morning we were playing cards and heard something eating from the cats dish and realized Rover was laying down beside of me so??? Do have a few wild cats that come in via the kitty door and grab a snack so went over to see which one it was. Caught just a glimpse of a big furry gray tail running out and thought that I had not seen one that color yet must have a newbie. Thought something might be up since the catfood bag had been being raided along with all the food left out being gone. Even moved the bag up on a shelf and stuff was being knocked down and the bag still raided.

Well a few minutes later get up to get something from the office and turn the corner and there is this HUGE raccoon sitting on his haunches chowing down. Not sure who surprised who the most! As round as a basketball, was surprised he fit thru the cat door.

So now I know why I have to get a bag a week vs 2-3 weeks. Going to put up one of my spare cameras to watch the kitty door and see who else is visiting, and the responce Rover has when he comes in since he sleeps on my work chair right by the door.

Now that was timming, posted the thread and happened to glance at the monitor and saw the coon running accross the parking lot. Maybe can get a pic of him tonight! Was able to reach out the window and turn the camera in the main bay to see the food bag, so lets see if there is enough food in the bowl or if he goes for the bag!

Crazy...our chickens have discovered the outside cats' food dish, and if the cats don't eat fast enough they will come over and finish it off for them. Cats just step aside...

I guess that's just more extra protein for the eggs...

That would have been a site to see!

Turns out there are 3, got them on video and a few blurry shots. Looked healthy so will let them be, but looks like the cat door will be closed at night!

And my chickens get into the cat food all the time so its only put out at night and in the office during the day.

Just watch that they don't eat your chickens and eggs.. They will do that.

Raccoons can climb as tall a fence as you can put up. The birds need a hen house.

Just to clarify, they have a solid hen house for overnights, but just a 6' fence around the lot for daylight hours. Also it's back in the woods a bit, so with all the trees it would be hard for a hawk to get a clean shot. However we do let them free-range when we're outside, and they've gotten a scare from a hawk out in the yard before...But looking at expanding things a bit for future safety...thanks,

I have lost a total of 28 chickens to hawks. They have an enclosed pen they stay in at night and free range during the day. Had a door they could go into and out but the eggs were getting eaten so closed that.

Yup, its a felony. They do not like bottle rockets to much, when I see them shoot off one or two. Was thinking of using a motion detector and model rocket kit to set one off when I am not around.

I occasionally get Red Shoulders and Coopers at my bird feeders. They can fly right to the feeders and snatch a bird. And the feeder hangs high, just under the canopy. But, they got to eat too.
