Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

I have been told I have leukemia and that I will have to undergo chemo and a bone marrow transplant.
This is what I have: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acute_lymphoblastic_leukemia
I know that we haven't camped together, but I feel a part of this group and I wanted you all to know. I hope to beat this and be here to camp many more times, but it is going to be a rotten rocky road. I will try to LYK what happens and thanks for letting mr get to know you all, NeaL

I am so sorry to hear about this my friend. A dear friend of mine was diagnosed with the same thing. She is only 26 and has gone through some intense chemo but is doing very well now. You can beat this! I will keep you in my prayers.

Neal...I know you've obviously just received a lot of news and it takes a while to "digest". ALL IS "beatable" as Doc said. You're right though...it's going to be a road of twists and turns and bumps and craters and mountains that you think you just can not climb anymore...you are about to undergo a journey that will "define" you in more ways than 1. You will find an inner strength that you never knew possible in yourself...none of us know it is there until we are forced to put it to the test! Ask me how I know!!! I am in Hospice...month 8 of what I was told 8 months ago would be 4-6 months. My will power is stronger some days then others and I would dare to bet that you will go through the same. Have they done a PET scan yet to rule out METS ? Have they been able to "stage" you?? Unfortunately there are way too many of us here that understand fully what you are going through...and thankfully many that do not nor ever will understand! I am one that does and will for as long as the good Lord leaves me here and I am always just a click away or a phone call away. I'm convinced this is why the good Lord has left me here so long...to be of help to others....even if that help is just to listen...I can and will always be available to you....keeping in mind that I am on powerful doses of pain meds...the good news on this homefront is that there are so many new meds now that are promising for people like "us"...and there are great meds for nausea...some people get by easier then others but almost all of us will feel sick...flu like symptoms for at least a few days following chemo...they will give you Kytril, Zofran...whatever they think will work the best for you and ask for something else out of the "goody bag" if what you have doesn't work! You're going to do fine...but again...don't expect it to be a walk in the park...or atleast if you are thinking of it as such...have in place some....ruts....some mountains....some craters...some nasty people...and just plain crappy days!!! I can promise you that you will come out stronger through all of this because you will learn so much about yourself and those around you! take time to go through all the stages of grief that you have heard of...it's okay to be depressed...it's okay to be pissed...it's okay to feel like "no not me..."...it's okay to be scared....but most importantly....be ready to FIGHT! You're up to the challenge and I know that much for certain without having ever met you...because you were ready to open up and let people know already what you were going through! Let folks help...when they ask what can we do....give them something or tell them...nothing yet...but I will call on you IF and when I need too if that's okay with you! Best of luck and know that I am with you in spirit as are all the folks here in our FMBC!!!My telephone number is 540-581-1482 and I am almost always here. We are going to be gone come Feb 27th for a appt with a research group at JOHNS HOPKINS! Will it save me? Probably not...but it may help my family and or others...so is all good! Call if I can help in any way...The American Cancer Society is an excellent resource...they have many avenues available for you as a "club member".....My prayers are with you....

Sorry to hear that Neal, its a heck of a shock to find out something like that. I am recovering from cancer myself, all I can say is hang in there. Get good doctors and follow their directions, you will go thru some bad days but will eventually start to get back to your old self. Stay positive and work toward getting better. Try to eat and keep your weight up as chemo will ruin your appetite. Keep in touch with friends and relatives, it helps to brighten the days.

Thoughts, prayers, and good vibes headed your way.

A lifelong friend of mine was diagnosed 5 yrs ago with the same thing, he beat it hands down. It really couldn't get to him because his mind/dispositon wouldn't let it bring him down. He lost his hai=r & appetite for about 6 months, then he started playing golf & riding motorcycles again. I would look at him pretty close on the back nine & watch him strruggle a bit for about a month. I watched him week by week get stronger, his appetite returned & he's back to his crazy fun self again.
This will too be a mere hiccup for you.
