Does anyone know if there will be another Blue Ridge Bus Tour later in the year?

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

Hey guys.... this is Slaymakers campout.

Nature at its finest. Come join the fun with the Hillbillys! You may see lots of Elk, Bear, Deer. They have been known to wander into the campground. It will be chilly at night so bring your propane heaters and dress warm. The elevation is pretty high so be prepared to stay cozy. October 8th and 9th. This campout is close to Cherokee. Amazing views looking at the Smokies. Hot showers but no electricity. We have reserved the group site which holds around 7 busses. You can however, make a reservation for a private site as well. Its $9 a night per person. This campground is in the National Park but is not part of the park. Its on an Indian reservation. Please call NOW as sites are going fast. This is the peak season for the park. Its amazing we even got the group site as the foliage should be awesome. YEAH for camping. The view are really amazing! Come chill with us on the Blue Ridge. We do live just over the mountain if anyone needs help getting here just call. Let the camphost know your from the FMBC, he will try to get a spot for you as close to the group site as possible. If you want to be a part of the group site, please let it be known, I'll put you down for it. Here is a link to the campground....hope to see you there.

I've been to that campground before and would love to go back there again to do some proper camping/chilling. Perhaps next year I'll save more days off for last minute campouts. The group site on a slight hill is awesome.

It USED to be Buses on the Blue Ridge back in the '90s. Its current iteration is Blue Bus.

We continue to try to have it somewhere on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The first one was at Mt. Pisgah Campground and we got the heat from the campground Nazis.

The second was was at Crabtree Meadows and that was awesome (except for the rain).

This one is just a little bit off the parkway, but situated higher up than any campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Make your reservations ASAP!

How do I get in on the group site? First come first serve? Looking forward to getting out of Knoxville again, life keeps getting in the way, sometimes in a good way though.

BUMP!

I don't know how the campground is filling - heck, I don't even know what the campground looks like. Based on the map online, it's not that big. I think we'll do alright in just one loop/branch of the campground, but considering the time of year (fall colors) the place should fill up quick. The groups site has enough room for six buses (according to Jerry). and there are two adjacent sites that are already reserved (again according to Jerry).

Check out the map and give them a call to save your spot! Doubling up is allowed , but everyone pays the full price !sad.

Sara & I are leaving Fri AM. Don't know how soon we'll be there due to sudden stops at yard sales, Goodwills & any thrift shops along the way. Don't know what we'll need Fri for dinner but we're definitely bringing biscuits for Sat breakfast & probably
chicken pie for Sat night & maybe a cake. Any idea who all is
coming? Not many have posted on here. Can't wait to see
everyone & hoping for some elk & beautiful leaves.

Don't really have a head count. Reservations are recommended.

Weather for the weekend is highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s.

No precipitation in the forecast.

Bring marshmallows.
