Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

what do you know about tie rods it said put back on with same # of turns as taken off took off in 12 turns but takes 13 to put back on the locking nut is in same spot at the 13 turns is this ok need to know now

Very Positive moonie weekend. Went to Allentown PA picked up a low mileage TDI for my bus then off to Uncle Karl's to pick up some westy stuff and Snoopys butt cheeks. Man my butt cheeks are hurting cause I am rackin up the miles on my golf collecting parts tripped 252 k miles on it on this trip. I swear that thing can tow anything and I damn near can put a whole west interior in the golf and on the roof.. And wow no tickets this weekend. Thanks Karl and Linda really enjoyed the visit. Beautiful country up there. Man I was in bus heaven. Gonna peal the roof like a sardine can on my bay this week to start grafting the westy top on.
