Does anyone know if there will be another Blue Ridge Bus Tour later in the year?

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

I have a 68 beetle. I keep having problems with my speedometer. I have had to change out 3 different speedometers and now this one is doing the same thing. It keeps going haywire. Loud noise and the speed handle goes crazy. Doesn't tell your actual speed. Just replaced the cable again (it broke too). Has anyone had this type of problem before that can help me out? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Beck

did you lubricate the cable when you installed it? Use graphite.

Check the other end of the cable seat.

I'm not sure if hubby lubricated the cable or not. I will ask. I will have hubby also check the cable seat. Thanks!

If the hole in the dust cap is warveld (or is it worveld) out it might do that.

PS I believe the West Virginia word for it is wallered, Mark would be the one to confirm that.
