I agree, but the gallery for this software is not all that simple to use, prob why it was harldy used. I am looking into whether there are any plugins to make it easier.

Kewl thanks for the response Collie. I hope more people will utilize it because it's a far easier way for all Moonies to reminisce the campouts. I sure would utilize it to show pics of others and alls' kewl buses

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

JT, I am a chicken sh%$ when it comes to the deep down technical stuff and I need my carbs to work when I get them in. I had heard about the issues with these Solex carbs and that spooked me more. I am also not up for trying to do the throttle bushing.

well Jim if you have already hear of their issues then you should know, but anyway other than throttle shafts, they are famous about sucking the down spout into the engine. had one do it pone day and pinch the top ring on a piston, then they were set up for an EGR recirulating system with a pump running off the crank pulley, most of these pumps locked up , even plugging them off doesn't work too well. then rubber elbows that would causer vacuum leaks, then the fact that the idle system for both carbs was only on the left carb. If VW hadn't tried to beat the pollution tests with that crappy egr system and had just used standard carb system , they would still only be OK. compaRED TO WEBER OR EVEN BETTER DELLS THEY ARE JUNK.
