Does anyone know if there will be another Blue Ridge Bus Tour later in the year?

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

OK I now have all new brakes on my 79 westy. I don`t think that the brakes and the rubber hoses were ever changed. the only thing that was GOOD we the servo. I have changed everything else. I just have to adjust the hand brake and I am done. I now have a bus that starts well, runs well and stops well.
Now where do I start from the bottom up or the top down? I do have rust issues and I will need a new canvase. I want this bus to be like new.
I do have a 9 year plan. When I retire in 9 years I plan on getting in the bus and just driving across country with no plans on where or what I will be doing.

Sounds like you are planning a walkabout, just remember, the bus will be worn out in nine years, so you will have to stay on top of the malfunctions and fix them as they occure.

Bear...
That is just what I plan on doing. By the time I am ready to take off I will be able to fix anything that will happen . I will also have all the tools I need and lots of replacement parts with me. I am in the comsept of the plan...I will have to have storeage for all the above plus a place for personal stuff. That might mean some type of tow behind...that will mean an enging and tranny built for that load.

If you are to be traveling without a plan in a retired status, I would think you would be in no great hurry. That being said why carry a ton of spares you may never need. With today's availability of wifi- and world-wide shipping most parts can be acquired in a matter of days while you hang out somewhere on the road of adventure. I am not saying don't carry anything but anything BIG would be out of the picture for me in that situation. maybe carry a fuel pump, distributor, and coil, but not much else. Of course I would also continue with my Good Sam roadside assistance that I always use, just in case.

Jeff, (CoffeeBus)
You are right. I am just putting this plan together. In 9 years the moonies should look out I just might come rolling up in your driveway.
