I agree, but the gallery for this software is not all that simple to use, prob why it was harldy used. I am looking into whether there are any plugins to make it easier.

Kewl thanks for the response Collie. I hope more people will utilize it because it's a far easier way for all Moonies to reminisce the campouts. I sure would utilize it to show pics of others and alls' kewl buses

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

I just had a guy stop by and wanted to buy my bus. I have a 77 transportor I worked very hard to make right.
This guy was serious. I told him $4000 is the least I would take. I do have some cash from the old westy I sold. so I will be in the market for a 78 or 79 westy in real good shape. I do live in florida but for the right bus I will travel to wherever and drive the new bus home. I don`t want a broke bus or a project. Just a compleat westy that I don`t have to do any work to (exept regular maintaince.) I am just putting this out there for anyone that is thinking about selling a westy. Or knows of one for sale. Maybe my dream bus will be mine soon.

check out craiglook.com you can search craigslist up to a 250 mile radius of your zip code. Good luck on finding the new westy! May the force be with you!

Fair? That looks like a pretty sweet deal... depending on how well all the body work was done... that is obviously a new nose... which could be a good thing or a bad thing...

It does LOOK nice.
Could BE as nice as it looks, but you can't really tell till you check it up close, drive it, etc. All depends on whats been done in the past.

Im sure we've all seen bondo over duct tape, motor rapping, oil puking, trans howling, flintstone floored, slider dropping, spaghetti wired, brakeless wonders that look pretty good in photos. Of course, those are usually the ones the seller thinks he has a gold mine.

A guy in Deland has a champagne 78 westy on craigslist daytona, Its been parked a couple years, not bad but needs some work, front seats shot, several ads with different pix, I don't believe that its only 65 k miles. I'd say that it is worth about $3 to $3.5k. Toolman has also looked at it. Been for sale for quite a while, he might be willing to deal.

Nice looking 72 westy in orlando craigslist asking $7.5k

BTW, that's certainly a fair price for your hardtop bus.

Bob..
Yes a good price for my bus I have alot into it. I was looking at the pic I took when I got it and it is 100 X better.
Also I do agree about checking out and driving a bus before you buy it. Last one I looked at I was under the bus about 1/2 hour the guy thought I was crazy....he ended up the crazy one for the price he was asking.

I'm kinda thinking about selling mine as I want a full sized van (fits my current needs better). I have no idea what it's worth though. I've got way, way more money in it than I'd ever get out of it I know.

You can ask Andy Strom, I showed up with a full tool bag, jack and creeper for the inspection when I got my bus from him.
