Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

what do you know about tie rods it said put back on with same # of turns as taken off took off in 12 turns but takes 13 to put back on the locking nut is in same spot at the 13 turns is this ok need to know now

I have been to see Mark Dearing in Salem and think he is AWESOME, but my bus is running too crappy for me to risk a trip 1 1/2 hrs away. Need someone very close to get my 78 running like it's supposed to. It is my every day driver and am having to borrow vehicles and bum rides to work......

that is what AAA is for. I do not know of anybody that I could recommend in the Lunchbag area, there are a couple in the bedford area(mark morrison) but he gets Porsche prices later md

Zappa, I am no mechanic, but I have driven buses for 15 years....I could probably swing by and have a look.....I am in Lynchburg by the mall.....
