Does anyone know if there will be another Blue Ridge Bus Tour later in the year?

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

Quite a few years ago, while attending Western Carolina U. , I had a fraternity brother from Highlands NC who had an Uncle with a big still up there. Occasionally, when he would go home for the weekend, he would work the still for his uncle, and when he did, he would always bring back a couple of gallons of first class shine. Man, that was some good stuff, but if you weren't careful it would kick you like a mule - have no idea what the proof was, but it reminded me alot of drinking everclear !! I do remember him warning us that you should never drink moonshine unless you knew who made it, and trusted them. He said that alot of moonshiners would put chicken manure in the mash to make it work faster. He also said that he knew of some stills that were using old car radiators for condensers, and lead salts would leach into the shine as it passed through the radiator, resulting in lead poisoning to the drinker. You can actually buy moonshine in the ABC stores in NC, or at least you could the last time I looked - probably 6 months ago. It was sold in a clear glass canning jar, and the label had one of the old time shine runner/NASCAR driver's names on it - pretty sure it was Junior Johnson. I haven't personally tried it, but I have been told that it tastes pretty close to the real stuff.
