I agree, but the gallery for this software is not all that simple to use, prob why it was harldy used. I am looking into whether there are any plugins to make it easier.

Kewl thanks for the response Collie. I hope more people will utilize it because it's a far easier way for all Moonies to reminisce the campouts. I sure would utilize it to show pics of others and alls' kewl buses

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

hello Guys This is for real! With all the troubles Ms terri is having and other problems quite not so important we are trying to figure out what to do this year. teri is set on doing another bus to raffle off. The problem with this is lack of funds and help. our choices seem limited. 1 buy a bus already or real close to ready and raffle, 2 raffle something else 3 don't do anything this year. 4 ????????

problem with #1 is lack of funds #2 is what that would raise good money #3 Terri isn't going to have happen #4 is open to suggestions

I am thinking we should start a fund drive to buy a bus or vannie , everybody donate a dollar or two
what do you guys think? remember this is for the local Ronald Mcdonald house thanks md pixs of past buses

Hey Mark,
You all have always done such a great job with this and I know how much work you put into it. Just let us know how to help.

All sound good, not sure which direction I would choose. The money made from the calanders is going whichever direction is decided. Will get the figures together and a final tally here soon.

Mark, how about I do a quilt & we can raffle it off at EB. Don't
know how much we'd make but we ought to be able to sell
a few there @ $1/ticket. Sara & I will also donate some cash but
thought this might bring in at least $100 for the cause. Whatcha
think?

we feel like we can get a bus that doesn't need complete restoring with a collection and raffle it off and raise more for them than just a collection does. We also thought about just selling one but it isn't the same.
Dixie sounds like a great idea please do that for us later md

That is what I was thinking when I read this yesterday....basically we need a raffle to raise money to buy a bus to raffle for more $$$ for the donation. I Just could not think of what needed to be raffled at the first raffle. Dixie thanks for filling in that blank; sounds like a great idea.

How about looking thru the part stashes, and starting a thread payment for the part is sent to the fund. Shipping for large items would have to be on whoever is buying.

Easier would be bring stuff to all campouts and proceeds go to the fund.

Knowing the cost of doing a bus, what about a bug? The cost would be way less than a bus and increase the donation. Maybe even include a tow bar and a hitch so the wnner can pull it home!

hey jerome might work but a good bug is getting hard to find. first couple of years we raffled off engines with special paint jobs, tyed dyed and flagg paint jobs. did Ok but the goal is to reach $1000 for the gold leaf on the wall of the McD house . The buses raised in the neigborhood of $3000
hopefully Teri will butt in here and tell us what to do. later md

Does it have to be a camper? I know where there is a 72 Deluxe that is fairly complete with engine and tranny for a decent price. Also, a 66 or 65 that could make a decent rat bus.

Just throwin stuff out there.

Okay...Teri's thoughts~~ I am facing many "uncertainties" right now....with yet another scan set for tomorrow...we have been told I may have a "chest wall recurrence" happening already....not good news. Mark is right....it does take a LOT to put together the bus for Nattybus...but this is something very dear to my heart. When I approached Mark and Sandra my thoughts were this....I would post a P.O. box (Sandra has one we MAY use) and ask of all to 'spread the words of my plea" which would be to get everyone financially able to...to send $1...that's right just ONE DOLLAR to help with the costs. I think we would be suprised at how much we could raise if everyone posts this on the facebook...twitter....myspace...etc...pages as well as do a mass emailing. I am looking into writing my "plea" within the next few days...I am tackling "bigger issues" right now and need a few days to get through all of this. Then however, I will post here as well as my facebook and my caringbridge page and explain our purpose with the dollar collection. I would encourage everyone just get the word out....no one is asking for a BIG amount of money and for those who can NOT afford to donate the buck or whatever amount you choose...just promise to keep us in your thoughts and for those of you that pray....say a prayer for us that we meet our goal and can have a bus ready for this years' Naturalbus the first weekend in June. With all this said...please WAIT until I get the main posting in so everyone will know where to send their "donation". What I will be asking is that everyone put their city and state on the return address at the very least, so that we will know how far away we have "touched people" with our plea to help the Ronald McDonald House and their families. I want to include more info on the RMH when I post...so bare with me for a few days....and keep watching...I will post SOON.....Hugs~~~~

Let me know if you guys would be interested in the 71 bus I have listed in the for sale section? I cant afford to donate the bus but I could offer a special price for it to be used for this purpose. If interested then PM me.

I may be able to secure a 69 beetle convertible. It won't be free and it would need to be transported to your place from New Jersey, but it's a solid start and the price would be very very low for what it is.

Music is awesome while driving a VW, but turn it down on occasion to listen to your bus.
