Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

what do you know about tie rods it said put back on with same # of turns as taken off took off in 12 turns but takes 13 to put back on the locking nut is in same spot at the 13 turns is this ok need to know now

Last time I checked, no one on this site holds a gun to anyone's head and makes them read anything. Seems like Jeff made the right decision for himself, and stopped reading after the fourth paragraph. I, however, read the whole thing and found it to be fairly interesting. I have had a Dell XPS M170 laptop for several years and other than a few minor glitches, have had very good service out of it. That doesn't mean that the next computer that I buy will be a Dell. When that time comes, I will get on the internet, do my research, and buy whatever is offering the most bang for the buck at that time.
